I'm Neil Marlow, a software consultant and web application creator based in Malta. I help organisations turn the processes they run on spreadsheets, inboxes and memory into dependable web applications.

I approach every project as a product owner first. Before writing code, I want to understand how your business runs day to day, who will use the software, and what a good result looks like for you. That understanding shapes what gets built — and, just as importantly, what doesn't.

From there I design and build bespoke applications end to end: the interface your team and customers use, the database and integrations behind it, and the hosting that keeps it running. Where it genuinely helps, I add AI and automation to remove repetitive work rather than as a novelty.

Projects are kept deliberately practical. You'll get clear communication, working software early and often, and a system you can rely on and grow after launch.

What I bring to a project.

  • 01

    Practical business understanding

I start with how your organisation actually works — the people, the bottlenecks and the numbers — so the software improves the business, not just the tech stack.

  • 02

    Product ownership

I think about users, priorities and trade-offs like a product owner: shipping the version that delivers value soonest, then improving it with real feedback.

  • 03

    Bespoke development

I design and build end to end — interface, database, integrations and hosting — using modern, well-supported technology that is straightforward to maintain.

  • 04

    AI & automation

I apply AI and automation where they genuinely remove work: extracting information, routing requests and drafting responses, with a person kept in control.

§ How I work

A simple, transparent process.

  1. 01

    Discuss

We talk through how things work today and what a good outcome looks like.

  2. 02

    Plan

I map users, flows and data, and agree a focused first version with you.

  3. 03

    Build

Working software early and often, on a private preview link you can try.

  4. 04

    Launch & support

Deployment, hosting and ongoing improvements after go-live.
